«Bloddråpe-trall» med

Jan Erik Vold & John Pål Inderberg

Two of Norway’s most distinguished cultural figures meet in a performance where jazz and poetry intertwine. Inspired by the poem Bloddråpe-trall by Kristofer Uppdal from Nord-Trøndelag, this event features a unique blend of spoken-word poetry by Jan Erik Vold, accompanied by melodies from American cool jazz—so-called "lines"—as well as Norwegian folk tunes led by John Pål Inderberg.

Jan Erik Vold (b. 1939) is a poet, translator, and literary communicator whose work ranges from nonsense poetry to politically engaged verse. He has collaborated with renowned musicians such as Chet Baker, Jan Garbarek, and Egil Kapstad.

John Pål Inderberg (b. 1950) is a saxophonist, arranger, and composer. Over his career, he has played in numerous ensembles and recorded with artists including Lee Konitz, Warne Marsh, Trondheim Jazz Orchestra, and Bjørn Alterhaug. He has also served as a professor at NTNU’s Jazz Department in Trondheim for decades.

In Bloddråpe-trall, expect a performance rich in spontaneity, playful interaction, and a captivating balance of depth and humor.
