Here, we get to experience music written and performed by vocalist Miriam Kibakaya: Minimalist, lyrical and occasionally colossal. The alteration between driving polyrhythms and dee-seated centre of gravity brings us close to the band: An expressive combo consisting of violinist Tuva Halse, saxophonist Zakarias Meyer Øverli, pianist Benjamin Gisli Einarsson, bassist Andreas Svabø and drummer Øyvind Leithe. In the recent years, Kibakaya has shown herself to be a strong storyteller, and warmly invites us into her musical universe.
